This assignment brings you into a dynamic Operating Room setting, providing exposure to a diverse team of professionals with various approaches to patient care and leadership. You'll gain valuable experience at a site known for handling complex cases, especially in a Level I Trauma environment, making this a prime opportunity to broaden your resume and deepen your skillset.
Schedule/Hours:
- 3x12-hour night shifts, 1830-0700, with rotating days off to meet unit needs
- May include scheduled weekends
- On-call: Approximately one weeknight per week and one weekend shift per month
- Flexibility on RTO requests, with the understanding that time will be made up
Qualifications:
- Active RN license and BLS certification required
- Minimum of 3 years prior OR RN experience
- Level I Trauma Center experience is a must
- Strong background in neuro procedures (must be at least 3/4 skilled in: ALIF, anterior cervical fusion, craniotomy, kyphoplasty, laminectomy/discectomy, lumbar fusion, XLIF)
- Experience using the Da Vinci Xi Surgical System
- First-time travel nurses welcome
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct care to patients undergoing complex surgical procedures, including advanced neuro and robotic cases
- Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes
- Uphold meticulous safety and infection control standards in high acuity environments
- Participate in call rotation and adapt to evolving OR needs
