An opportunity is available for a skilled Registered Nurse with Operating Room expertise to contribute to a renowned level 1 trauma center. This contract position requires strong cardiac surgical scrub and circulating experience in a cardiovascular operating room (CVOR) setting.
Location:
Situated in Overland Park, KS, this role serves a leading healthcare institution recognized for advanced surgical care and patient outcomes. The area offers a blend of urban and suburban living with access to cultural amenities, diverse dining options, and outdoor recreational activities.
Responsibilities:
- Provide perioperative nursing care in the CVOR, specializing in cardiac surgeries.
- Perform scrub and circulating duties with precision and adherence to established protocols.
- Collaborate effectively with surgical teams to ensure patient safety and optimal surgical outcomes.
- Participate in rotating weekend and holiday call schedules as required.
- Float between Bell OR, Cambridge OR, and SPD as needed.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Kansas RN license and BLS certification.
- Minimum of 2 years CVOR nursing experience within a level 1 trauma center.
- Demonstrated recent strong scrub and circulating experience specifically in cardiac surgeries.
- Willingness to work 10-hour day shifts across four days per week (6:30 AM 5:00 PM).
- Ability to take call on holidays and approximately one weekend per month.
Schedule & Shift Details:
- 40 hours per week, 4 days at 10 hours each.
- Mandatory holiday and weekend rotation.
Additional Details:
- Nicotine-free facility environment.
- Bi-weekly payment schedule.
- 8-hour non-billable orientation included.
- Client may cancel up to two shifts per month with at least 2 hours notice without penalty.
