Working in a state-of-the-art facility with 453 beds, you will collaborate with a highly experienced perioperative team known for their excellence and adoption of new technologies and equipment. This role is a unique opportunity to broaden your expertise through orthopedic and trauma procedures, exposure to leading practices, and close-knit mentorship from seasoned staff members. You'll add rich experience to your resume while enjoying the personal rewards of a meaningful travel assignment.
Schedule:
- Options include 3x12-hour shifts or 4x10-hour shifts per week
- On-call requirement: 6 call shifts every 4 weeks
- Weekends may include on-call coverage
Qualifications:
- Current RN license
- BLS certification required
- TNCC or TCAR is mandatory (must be included with application)
- Proven experience in orthopedic nursing; trauma orthopedic background essential
- Proficiency with Meditech EMR and orthopedic equipment
- Ability to wear hospital-provided scrubs as required uniform
Key Responsibilities:
- Circulate and assist in OR procedures, with focus on trauma, arthroscopies, and total joint cases
- Provide high-quality, 1:1 nursing care throughout surgical procedures
- Work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes
- Adhere to established best practices and advanced procedural skills
