Experienced Registered Nurses with a background in the Operating Room are needed for a contract opportunity. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional patient care in a dynamic, fast-paced surgical environment, collaborating closely with the surgical team to ensure optimal safety and efficiency during procedures.

Qualifications:

• Current and valid RN license
• Minimum of 1 year of Operating Room nursing experience
• BLS and ACLS certification (AHA preferred)
• Strong understanding of aseptic and sterile techniques
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
• Proficient in working alongside surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other medical professionals
• Ability to adapt to emergency situations and maintain composure under pressure

Responsibilities:

• Prepare operating rooms and ensure all necessary equipment and supplies are available and sterile
• Assess and monitor patient condition before, during, and after surgery
• Assist surgical teams during operative procedures, including instrument handling and circulating duties
• Document patient care, surgical procedures, and physician instructions accurately
• Uphold infection prevention protocols and maintain a safe environment for patients and staff
• Communicate effectively with patients and families to provide updates and post-operative instructions
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support patient-centered care
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of clinical best practices and hospital policies
