At this respected 175-bed acute care center, youll serve in a modern 5-room Operating Room suite, primarily supporting adult, geriatric, and occasional pediatric surgical cases. This is a tremendous position for nurses eager to enhance their professional journey. Gain insight into patient safety practices recognized statewide, witness diverse surgical specializations, and collaborate with expert teams committed to quality care. Exposure to a variety of leadership styles and care models will enrich your approach to nursing and open doors for future roles.
Schedule/Hours:
- Day shift: 6:30 am 3:00 pm
- Guaranteed 40 hours per week
- Weekend and call requirements: 1-2 weekends per month, 1-2 weekdays per week (depending on surgical volume)
Essential Qualifications:
- Active RN license with at least 2 years OR circulator experience
- BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
- Background in general, orthopedic, GYN (including C-sections), ENT, pediatric dental, and urology surgery
- Comfort working with adult and geriatric populations, plus occasional pediatric patients
- Team-oriented mindset is essential
Preferred Experience:
- Vascular surgical experience (Fem-pop, AV fistula)
Key Responsibilities:
- Circulate efficiently in a 1-patient-at-a-time surgical setting
- Utilize advanced equipment including laparoscopy towers and specialized surgical tables
- Coordinate closely with multidisciplinary surgical and anesthesia teams
- Document patient care using Meditech Magic EHR systems
