Take the next step in your nursing career by supporting surgical excellence in a dynamic operating room environment. This contract opportunity calls for an experienced Registered Nurse with a passion for perioperative care and a strong background in various surgical specialties.
Schedule and Hours:
- Shift Time: 6:30 am 5:00 pm
- Four 10-hour shifts per week, scheduled as needed
- On-call required: One weekday call per week and one call weekend per month
Qualifications:
- Current, unrestricted RN license to practice in the state
- Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved nursing program
- Minimum two years of recent operating room experience across multiple specialties
- PALS, BLS, and ACLS certifications (required)
- BSN degree (highly desired)
- Must reside at least 100 miles from the facility
Role Responsibilities:
- Scrub and circulate during operative procedures, ensuring optimal patient outcomes
- Admit patients to the operative suite and follow strict aseptic and safety protocols
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to assess, plan, and implement intraoperative care plans
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and surgical teams, serving as a key liaison
- Coordinate the preparation of the operating room, ensuring equipment is functional, supplies and implants are available, and safety standards are maintained
- Consistently document patient care and operate within facility and regulatory guidelines
