This travel assignment invites you to broaden your experience by collaborating with a variety of teams, utilizing advanced technologies like EPIC and Omnicell, and deepening your exposure to a wide range of surgical cases, including common procedures for adults with cardiovascular and valvular diagnoses. With a focus on professional development, youll refine your clinical expertise and decision-making, working side-by-side with diverse healthcare professionals and learning from different leadership styles.
Schedule/Hours:
- Two 10-hour shifts per week
- On-call up to 7 days per four-week schedule, including one full weekend
- 13-week assignment
Key Qualifications:
- Valid New York State RN license
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (associates degree minimum)
- At least 1 year of recent Operating Room nursing experience
- ACLS and BLS certifications required
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care for adult patients (ratios 1:1) in a 2-bed OR setting
- Utilize EMR (EPIC) and Omnicell technologies
- Care for patients with common diagnoses such as CAD, AS, and MR
- Float as needed if census is low to ensure patient care continuity
- Collaborate with surgical and interdisciplinary teams
- Participate in on-call rotations as required
