As an Operating Room Registered Nurse, youll engage with a broad spectrum of service lines, including general surgery, urology, gynecology, vascular, orthopedics, neuro, and robotics. You will collaborate with diverse teams and adapt to varying leadership approaches, gaining exposure to best practices and innovative procedures that bolster your resume and deepen your clinical skill set.

Schedule/Hours:

  • Full-time, five 8-hour shifts on weekdays

Key Qualifications:

  • Active RN license in Texas or compact state
  • BLS certification required
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in an OR or surgical setting preferred
  • EPIC electronic medical record experience highly preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive nursing care using the full spectrum of the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation
  • Address diverse physical, psychological, and cultural needs of perioperative patients and their families
  • Administer medications and treatments, monitor for effectiveness and potential side effects
  • Thoroughly document patient histories, interventions, and outcomes
  • Provide education and assess learning needs for patients and caregivers
  • Support and delegate clinical tasks as appropriate, helping to lead the care environment
