Job Description

Deliver essential perioperative care in a dynamic operating room environment that supports a diverse range of surgical specialties. This opportunity emphasizes critical teamwork and advanced nursing skills within a Level 3 Trauma setting, handling an average of 50 cases daily.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care throughout the surgical process for patients undergoing trauma, orthopedic, cardiac, gynecological, robotic, bariatric, urology, ENT, ophthalmology, plastic, and other specialized procedures.
  • Collaborate closely with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.
  • Monitor patient condition and respond to intraoperative changes.
  • Maintain sterile technique and adhere to established protocols.
  • Participate in weekend on-call rotation.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Registered Nurse with valid North Carolina RN license.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Operating Room nursing.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) certification preferred but not mandatory.
  • Strong knowledge of surgical specialties including trauma, orthopedics, vascular, and minimally invasive procedures.
  • Ability to work 12-hour day shifts (7:00 am 7:00 pm), averaging 36 hours per week.
