Job Description

An opportunity is available for an experienced Registered Nurse with expertise in Operating Room nursing, located in Monroe, NC. This contract position offers a chance to work in a highly respected medical setting known for trauma care, pediatric services, and specialized centers dedicated to chest pain and stroke treatment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver perioperative nursing care across multiple service lines, excluding Neuro and Cardiovascular Thoracic.
  • Collaborate with clinical supervisors and charge nurses within an 11-OR department.
  • Utilize EPIC EMR system along with department-specific equipment including the DaVinci XI surgical system.
  • Participate in a tailored orientation program based on individual experience.
  • Adhere to specified shift times from early morning to late afternoon or early evening on a rotating schedule every six weeks.
  • Maintain professional appearance and compliance with scrub protocols in and out of the operating room.

Qualifications:

  • Active RN licensure required.
  • BLS certification mandatory.
  • Minimum of one year of operating room nursing experience preferred; strong experience considered for first-time travelers.
  • Familiarity with EPIC EMR preferred.
  • Versatility across multiple surgical service lines is advantageous.

Schedule:

  • Day shifts: 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM or 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM.
  • No weekends, holidays, or on-call duties.
  • Return to Office (RTO) requires manager approval.
