Schedule/Hours:
Travel assignmentexpect varied shifts with frequent on-call responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:
Advocate for patients throughout their perioperative journey, ensuring identification, informed consent, and safety
Prepare and maintain a sterile operating room environment; anticipate surgical team needs
Manage intraoperative tasksopen sterile supplies, monitor documentation, handle specimens, and coordinate across anesthesia, surgical, and scrub personnel
Vigilantly monitor patient status, collaborate with anesthesia, and ensure safety
Accurately document all aspects of care in the electronic health record
Maintain and manage supply and equipment inventory, participating in resource stewardship
Facilitate postoperative transfers and provide comprehensive hand-offs
Respond promptly to surgical emergencies; participate in on-call rotations
Uphold AORN standards and contribute to ongoing safety and improvement initiatives

Qualifications:
Graduate of accredited ADN or BSN nursing program (BSN preferred)
Active, unrestricted RN license (compact accepted)
BLS (AHA) required; ACLS required or must obtain within six months
PALS preferred; CNOR certification a plus
Minimum 1-2 years OR Circulator RN experience strongly preferred
Previous work in rural/critical access hospitals advantageous
Strong critical thinking, independent practice, and resourceful problem-solving
