As a Registered Nurse specializing in the Operating Room, you will play an integral part in supporting surgical teams and ensuring each patient receives safe, high-quality care throughout their operative experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical technologists to deliver exceptional care before, during, and after surgical procedures.
- Scrub and circulate in a variety of surgical cases, maintaining a sterile environment and adhering to infection control protocols.
- Monitor patients vital signs and comfort, responding swiftly to changes in status.
- Prepare, organize, and manage surgical instruments and equipment, anticipating the needs of the surgical team.
- Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of patient status, interventions, and surgical activities.
- Contribute to a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement within the operating room.
Qualifications:
- Current unrestricted RN license.
- At least one year of recent experience in an operating room or surgical setting.
- Advanced knowledge of surgical procedures and perioperative nursing standards.
- BLS and ACLS certifications (as required per facility).
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment, remaining calm under pressure.
