This position offers the chance to contribute your expertise as a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room on a contract basis, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team dedicated to exceptional patient outcomes.
Key Qualifications
- Active RN license, unencumbered and current
- Minimum of one year recent experience in an acute care Operating Room
- Proficient in intraoperative duties and sterile/aseptic technique
- Strong critical thinking and communication skills
- BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
- Ability to adapt in a fast-paced surgical setting
Responsibilities
- Circulate and/or scrub in a variety of surgical procedures
- Monitor patients before, during, and after surgery, ensuring patient safety and advocacy
- Prepare the OR suite, maintain a sterile field, and handle surgical instruments and equipment
- Assist surgeons, anesthesiologists, and fellow staff as necessary
- Accurately document preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative activities
- Respond swiftly to emergencies and changing patient needs
- Uphold infection control and patient confidentiality standards
