Schedule/Hours:
- 40 hours per week
- Two 8-hour shifts and two 12-hour shifts per week
- No on-call or weekend requirements
Desired Qualifications:
- Active RN license
- Previous Operating Room experience required
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, instrumentation, and sterile technique
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with surgical teams
- Ability to adapt quickly and maintain composure during high-pressure situations
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide perioperative nursing care for patients before, during, and after surgical procedures
- Maintain sterile field and ensure adherence to strict infection control protocols
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical technologists to ensure patient safety
- Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and document intraoperative care accurately
- Offer patient and family education regarding procedures and post-operative expectations
- Assist with set-up, operation, and cleaning of surgical equipment and instruments
- Respond promptly to emergencies and support the team in rapid response situations
