Job Description

Schedule/Hours:

  • 40 hours per week
  • Two 8-hour shifts and two 12-hour shifts per week
  • No on-call or weekend requirements

Desired Qualifications:

  • Active RN license
  • Previous Operating Room experience required
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, instrumentation, and sterile technique
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with surgical teams
  • Ability to adapt quickly and maintain composure during high-pressure situations

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide perioperative nursing care for patients before, during, and after surgical procedures
  • Maintain sterile field and ensure adherence to strict infection control protocols
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical technologists to ensure patient safety
  • Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and document intraoperative care accurately
  • Offer patient and family education regarding procedures and post-operative expectations
  • Assist with set-up, operation, and cleaning of surgical equipment and instruments
  • Respond promptly to emergencies and support the team in rapid response situations
