Job Description

A registered nurse with strong operating room expertise is needed for a contract position located in Marshfield, MO. This role focuses on providing specialized perioperative care in a dynamic surgical environment, assisting vascular surgeons, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams for both open and endovascular procedures, including work in hybrid imaging suites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct patient care across all age groups, encompassing assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Assist in the operating room and hybrid imaging suite during vascular surgeries.
  • Coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize outcomes.
  • Maintain professional accountability and confidentiality in compliance with nursing standards.
  • Utilize EPIC electronic medical records for documentation.
  • Contribute as both scrub and circulator nurse in the OR.
  • Float to other areas as required by facility needs.
  • Participate in call rotation averaging five or fewer calls per eight weeks.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Current RN license eligible or valid in Missouri.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a Level 1 or 2 trauma center setting, preferably within a teaching hospital.
  • Proven abilities in scrub and circulator roles within the operating room.
  • At least 1 year experience in interventional vascular nursing with competence in conscious sedation.
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
  • A highly motivated self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Schedule/Hours:

  • 4x10 day shifts, 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM, totaling 36 hours per week.
  • Weekend and additional hours as needed.
