Schedule/Hours:
- Full-time, variable shifts dependent on surgical schedules
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Current, unencumbered RN license in the state of Georgia
- Previous experience in an operating room setting preferred
- In-depth understanding of the Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act
- Commitment to the ethical practice of nursing as established by the American Nurses Association
- BLS and ACLS certification
- Strong communication skills and the ability to advocate for patients and families
- Demonstrated ability to function within an interdisciplinary team and support systems of shared governance
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct, evidence-based perioperative nursing care to surgical patients
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia staff, and other clinicians to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Adhere to established protocols for clinical quality, safety, and infection control
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans
- Document patient information accurately and thoroughly in compliance with regulatory standards
- Serve as a patient advocate, upholding system policies and supporting service excellence initiatives
- Participate in ongoing education and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement
