Job Description

A Registered Nurse with Operating Room experience is needed for a challenging role in a Level III Trauma OR setting. This position involves care across pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations in a complex community hospital environment. The operating room team handles approximately 30 to 40 patients daily with a 1:1 clinician-to-patient ratio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize basic aseptic techniques and perform circulating independently in a multispecialty operating room.
  • Work rotating shifts including days, evenings, and weekends, with shift hours from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
  • Participate in on-call rotations including holiday and weekday calls, providing coverage both during shifts and after hours as needed.
  • Accurately document patient care using the EPIC electronic medical records system.
  • Collaborate effectively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current Massachusetts RN license.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience in an operating room environment.
  • Competency in managing pediatric, adult, and geriatric patient populations.
  • Ability to adapt to rotating shift schedules including evening and weekend rotations.
