As an Operating Room Registered Nurse on assignment, youll broaden your clinical expertise and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, gaining exposure to diverse workplace practices and leadership styles. Schedule/Hours:
- 6:30AM - 3:00PM
- On-call required: One weekend monthly, approximately 7 days per month
- Full-Time, travel assignment
Required Qualifications:
- Active RN License in Texas or compact state
- Basic Life Support (BLS - AHA only)
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (preferred)
- Minimum 1 year of Operating Room RN experience (preferred)
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive nursing care using the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation)
- Manage increasingly complex emotional, psychological, and social needs of patients and families
- Safely administer medications and monitor for effectiveness and side effects
- Maintain accurate and thorough patient documentation
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers
- Appropriately delegate and coordinate care with other providers
- Embody leadership competencies and participate in continual skill development
