Job Description

Step into a dynamic surgical environment as a Registered Nurse in the Main Operating Room, working alongside a skilled multidisciplinary team. With 16 state-of-the-art operating suites and the latest technology, this contract role offers valuable experience supporting groundbreaking surgical proceduresincluding total joints, spine surgeries, advanced transplants (kidney and liver), robotics, vascular interventions, ENT, and plastic surgeries.

Schedule:

  • 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
  • Night and weekend call rotation

Qualifications:

  • Active, unencumbered RN license required
  • Demonstrated expertise in transplant procedures is essential
  • At least 3 years of OR experience strongly preferred
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CNOR) are a plus
  • Proficient with Meditech EMR or willingness to learn
  • Team player with excellent communication and organizational skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver safe, patient-centered perioperative nursing care across a variety of complex cases
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical techs before, during, and after procedures
  • Monitor patient status, equipment, and sterile fields, responding promptly in critical situations
  • Support transplant operations, ensuring adherence to strict protocols and best practices
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Meditech
  • Participate in ongoing quality initiatives, orientation of new staff, and continuing education
