Job Description

Deliver essential patient care as a valued member of a dynamic surgical team. This position focuses on providing exceptional perioperative nursing services in a busy, collaborative operating room setting. Working closely with other licensed and unlicensed professionals, you will play a vital role in ensuring every patient receives individualized, high-quality, and safe care at every stage of the perioperative process.

Schedule/Hours:

  • Contract position; specific scheduling to be discussed during interview.

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

  • Valid and active RN license in the state of Georgia.
  • Previous experience as an Operating Room RN strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of perioperative nursing standards and procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow the Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act.
  • Familiarity with evidence-based practice, ANA Code of Ethics, and current nursing best practices.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in interdisciplinary teams.
  • Commitment to upholding patient-centered care and safety.
  • BLS and other relevant certifications as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive nursing care in the operating room, ensuring patient safety and quality outcomes.
  • Participate actively in preparing surgical suites, monitoring patient progress, and maintaining accurate documentation.
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurse managers, and other team members to coordinate care.
  • Adhere to professional and clinical standards, as well as facility and system policies.
  • Support service excellence initiatives and advocate consistently for the patients voice during care delivery.
  • Maintain compliance with institutional governance models and core competencies.
