Key Qualifications:

• Valid, unencumbered RN license
• Minimum of one year recent experience in an operating room setting
• Strong knowledge of surgical instruments, aseptic technique, and sterile field maintenance
• Current BLS and ACLS certification
• Exceptional communication, assessment, and critical thinking skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams and respond quickly in emergencies

Responsibilities:

• Prepare the operating room and surgical instruments, maintaining strict adherence to infection control guidelines
• Assess and monitor patient condition before, during, and after procedures
• Serve as scrub or circulating nurse, ensuring all necessary supplies, equipment, and documentation are in place
• Provide critical support to surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other team members during surgeries
• Maintain accurate records of procedures, patient responses, and post-operative care requirements
• Educate patients and families on surgical processes and recovery expectations
