Desired Skills & Experience:
- Current, active RN license with eligibility for practice
- Proven clinical experience within the Operating Room setting
- BLS and ACLS certifications (additional perioperative certification a plus)
- Proficient with sterile technique, monitoring patient status, and managing surgical instruments
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and organizational skills
Typical Responsibilities:
- Prepare the operating suite and ensure all necessary surgical supplies and equipment are ready
- Serve as a patient advocate before, during, and after surgery
- Monitor patient condition and report changes or concerns to the surgical team
- Maintain strict adherence to aseptic techniques and safety protocols
- Document intraoperative care accurately and efficiently
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to promote positive surgical outcomes
