Working as a specialized Registered Nurse in the Operating Room, you'll experience a fast-paced environment that fosters professional growth. Youll collaborate with experienced leadership while embracing different workplace dynamics and protocols, adding impactful credentials to your resume. This role puts you at the forefront of perioperative care, where you'll enhance your skills through exposure to diverse case mixes and innovative surgical techniques.
Schedule/Hours:
- 3 Days, 12-Hour Shifts (3PM 3AM)
- Rotating weekends, up to 2 per 4-week schedule
- Floating to support units when necessary
Qualifications Needed:
- Graduate of an accredited RN program
- Current New Mexico RN license or Compact state license
- BLS, ACLS, PALS (or ENPC), and TNCC (or ATCN) certifications from AHA required
- CPI or equivalent preferred
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and care coordination skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and implement individualized perioperative plans of care
- Reassess, intervene, and document patient status throughout the surgical process
- Support patient education and discharge planning
- Coordinate and delegate tasks efficiently, adapting to patient and unit needs
- Participate in orientation, staff education, and quality improvement initiatives
- Promote a positive, collaborative workplace and maintain high standards for patient safety, confidentiality, and satisfaction
