Join a dynamic healthcare team in Lamy, NM, providing critical care in the Operating Room as a Registered Nurse. This travel nursing role demands a clinical practitioner skilled in coordinating and delivering exceptional patient care while supporting the unique needs of surgical patients. This position offers a day shift schedule from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, with an immediate start date available.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and implement nursing care tailored to the surgical patient population.
- Maintain high standards of quality and safety aligned with unit protocols.
- Provide respectful and compassionate care to patients, families, and collaborate effectively with healthcare staff.
- Respond promptly to emergencies and adjust to schedule changes as needed.
- Uphold patient rights and communicate clearly with individuals of varied ages.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program.
- Current New Mexico RN license or a valid Compact state license.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification through AHA.
- Proficient knowledge and skills applicable to operating room nursing.
- Ability to manage physical demands including standing, walking, and patient handling.
- Strong visual and auditory acuity; fine motor skills required.
- Experience working in high-stress environments with exposure to infectious agents.
