Deliver exceptional patient care in a dynamic operating room environment, working closely with a team of dedicated healthcare professionals. This contract opportunity involves administering coordinated nursing care to patients both independently and in collaboration with a multidisciplinary staff. The ideal candidate will demonstrate keen critical thinking, strong clinical judgment, and the ability to lead and mentor other nursing staff.
Key Qualifications:
- Current, unencumbered RN license
- Experience working in an operating room setting
- Solid understanding of perioperative nursing standards and the nursing process
- Ability to supervise and direct nursing personnel of varying experience levels
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive, patient-centered nursing care in accordance with established protocols
- Coordinate and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Supervise, mentor, and direct assigned nursing staff, promoting best practices and safety standards
- Administer medications, monitor patient vitals, document nursing interventions and responses
- Participate in all phases of perioperative care, including patient assessment, intraoperative assistance, and post-anesthesia evaluation
- Serve as a resource and clinical leader for less-experienced staff
- Collaborate with physicians, surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation to reflect care delivered and patient progress
