Schedule/Hours:
- 36 to 40 hours per week with variable shifts (09001830, 06001830, or 08001830 depending on department needs)
- Weeknight call approximately every 12 weeks
- Weekend call approximately every 4th5th weekend
- 30-minute response time for call requirements
- Participation in a holiday rotation
Required Qualifications:
- Current, unencumbered RN license
- Minimum of 1 year of recent Operating Room experience
- Proficiency with intraoperative nursing care, surgical procedures, and AORN guidelines
- BLS certification required; additional credentials (such as ACLS) preferred
- Strong communication skills and ability to function effectively in fast-paced, team-oriented settings
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of perioperative patients
- Scrub and circulate in the operating room, ensuring aseptic technique and safe patient care
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal surgical outcomes
- Respond promptly to emergencies and maintain readiness during call shifts
- Document patient information accurately and follow all hospital policies
