Schedule/Hours:

• 6:30AM 3PM
• Call required: One weekend per month, approximately 7 days monthly

Responsibilities:

• Deliver evidence-based perioperative care, handling both routine and complex patient needs
• Independently utilize the nursing process for assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation
• Accurately document patient history, symptoms, treatments, and outcomes
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and established protocols
• Delegate appropriately to support staff, overseeing assignments to ensure optimal patient care
• Provide patient, family, and caregiver education tailored to individual needs
• Address the psychological, cultural, and social needs of patients in alignment with best practices

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
• 1 year of OR nurse experience preferred
• Current RN license in Texas or compact state required
• BLS certification (AHA only) required
