This sought-after Operating Room assignment places you at the heart of intraoperative patient care. The department focuses exclusively on surgical suite functions, giving you direct involvement in state-of-the-art procedures (excluding PACU, anesthesia, pre-op holding, and central sterile operations). Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide safe, effective, and compassionate intraoperative care as part of a highly trained surgical team
- Apply evidence-based practices and use critical thinking to support patients throughout surgical procedures
- Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia, and support staff to optimize patient outcomes
- Maintain meticulous documentation and ensure adherence to infection control standards
- Support departmental functions, participate in quality improvement initiatives, and drive effective communication across team members
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active, unencumbered RN license
- Minimum one year of recent Operating Room experiencetravel or float work is a plus
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Solid understanding of intraoperative workflows and circulating/scrubbing responsibilities
- Adaptability and commitment to best practices in perioperative nursing
