A travel Registered Nurse opportunity is available in the Operating Room specialty, focusing on orthopedic and trauma orthopedic care. This position is located in Jacksonville, FL, offering an engaging environment within a 453-bed hospital known for advanced orthopedic procedures and patient-focused care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality perioperative nursing care in the Operating Room with a 1:1 patient ratio.
• Participate in orthopedic surgeries including arthroscopies, total joint replacements, and trauma orthopedic procedures.
• Utilize the Meditech documentation system to maintain accurate patient records.
• Adhere to safety standards and protocols, including BLS and TNCC certifications.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure efficient workflow and patient safety.
• Meet scheduling requirements of 3 twelve-hour shifts or 4 ten-hour shifts with six on-call shifts every four weeks.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active RN license eligible for practice in Florida.
• Certified in Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) submission of this certification is mandatory with no grace period.
• Extensive orthopedic and trauma orthopedic nursing experience.
• Familiarity with orthopedic equipment and Meditech EMR system is highly preferred.
• Current BLS certification.
• Ability to function in a fast-paced, technologically advanced surgical environment.
• Commitment to wearing hospital scrubs as the required uniform.
