Key Qualifications:

• Active and unrestricted RN license
• Demonstrated experience in an operating room setting
• Familiarity with surgical procedures, aseptic techniques, and patient safety protocols
• Advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) and basic life support (BLS) certifications
• Exceptional critical thinking and communication skills
• Ability to collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and perioperative staff

Schedule/Hours:

• Expect a flexible schedule with rotating shifts based on department needs

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver safe, competent perioperative nursing care to patients before, during, and after surgical procedures
• Prepare operating rooms and ensure instrumentation and equipment are sterile and functioning
• Anticipate needs of the surgical team, ensuring all supplies and medications are available as required
• Maintain accurate documentation throughout the perioperative process
• Provide education and emotional support to patients and families
• Adhere to hospital policies and regulatory standards to promote best practices in surgical care
