This contract opportunity is ideal for an experienced RN who thrives in the Operating Room and is driven to deliver the highest standard of care during complex transplant procedures.
Schedule & Hours
- Day shift: 4x10-Hour shifts (06:45 - 17:15)
- On-call requirement: 1 shift per week and (2) 12-hour weekend shifts per month (specifics discussed at interview)
- 36 guaranteed hours for 3x12s or 40 for 8/10s
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of direct LIVER/TRANSPLANT OR RN experience required
- Documented experience with liver, heart, lung, and kidney transplants, including proficiency in reintegration (putting organs back in the new patient)
- Skilled in MISONIX/CUSA technology
- Active ACLS and BLS required at time of application; NIHSS must be obtained prior to start
- Open to first-time travelers; pending licenses accepted
- Must pass a nicotine screeningfacility is smoke-free
Responsibilities
- Circulate and/or scrub on a broad array of OR cases, prioritizing transplant surgeries; float within scope to meet facility needs
- Deliver outstanding, detail-oriented perioperative nursing in a fast-paced teaching hospital environment
- Prioritize and complete time-sensitive onboarding modules promptly
- Maintain clear and accurate charting using EPIC
- Adhere to infection control, safety, and hospital policies
- Communicate effectively with the surgical team to optimize patient outcomes
