Schedule/Hours
- Travel assignment, full-time hospital schedule
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Current, active MA RN license
- BLS certification (AHA ACLS required within 60 days if not already held)
- Prior Operating Room nursing experience strongly preferred; CNOR certification a major plus
- Exceptional multitasking abilities, strong communication skills, and a proactive mindset
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced settings with competing priorities
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive assessments, plan and implement OR nursing interventions, and evaluate outcomes
- Deliver patient care aligned with evidence-based standards and established protocols
- Prioritize patient safetyconduct surgical counts, maintain aseptic technique, and monitor for procedural risks
- Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical technicians to promote excellent outcomes
- Provide compassionate patient and family education, preparing thoroughly for procedures and discharge
- Complete thorough, timely documentation and participate in effective handovers for coordinated care
- Engage in ongoing learning, preceptorship, and improvement initiatives
- Uphold all hospital policies, particularly relating to safety, hand hygiene, and confidentiality
