Job Description

Advance your clinical expertise in a fast-paced environment, caring for patients undergoing complex liver, heart, lung, and kidney transplants. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Operating Room RN with a proven background in transplant surgeries to contribute meaningfully to patient outcomes in an acute care, teaching hospital.

Schedule:

  • Day shift: Four 10-hour shifts (06:45 17:15)
  • On-call: 1 shift per week, plus two 12-hour weekend shifts per month (details will be discussed during interview)

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of direct Operating Room experience with liver/transplant procedures
  • Documented proficiency with liver, heart, lung, AND kidney transplants on your skills checklist
  • Hands-on experience with MISONIX/CUSA technology and with organ implantation (not only harvesting/transplant recovery)
  • Active RN license (pending licenses accepted)
  • Certifications required at submission: ACLS, BLS; NIHSS must be obtained prior to start
  • Willingness to float within scope as needed
  • All requested time off must be provided up front during the application process

Key Responsibilities:

  • Scrub and circulate for high-acuity organ transplant surgeries
  • Perform and assist with procedures utilizing advanced surgical equipment (MISONIX/CUSA)
  • Deliver expert perioperative care for complex transplant and general OR cases
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes in a teaching hospital setting
  • Strict adherence to facility policies regarding professional conduct and patient safety

  • Charting via EPIC system
  • Scrub color: Ceil blue
  • Free onsite parking in designated spaces
  • Nicotine-free workplace; negative nicotine screening required before assignment
  • Time-sensitive onboarding modules must be completed promptly after assignment confirmation
