Join a dynamic healthcare team as a Registered Nurse specializing in the Operating Room, based in Herrin, IL. This travel opportunity offers the chance to work primarily in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) during day shifts with on-call responsibilities as required. Flexibility is essential, with floating to clinically appropriate units when needed, allowing you to utilize your broad nursing skillset within your scope of practice and competencies.
Responsibilities:
- Provide expert nursing care within the CVOR, ensuring patient safety and optimal surgical outcomes.
- Float to various clinical units including Emergency Departments, ICU, Progressive Care Units, Medical, Acute Rehab, and Step Down units as needed.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain compliance with all licensing and certification requirements.
- Respond to on-call duties promptly and effectively.
Qualifications & Certifications:
- Current Illinois Registered Nurse license is mandatory.
- Valid CPR/BLS certification.
- ACLS certification required.
- Preferred or required certifications based on clinical unit: PALS, TNCC, NIHSS, and CSU-ALS preferred in some ICU settings.
- Demonstrated competency in nursing practice and the ability to float among various clinical areas.
