An opportunity is available for a skilled Registered Nurse with Operating Room experience to serve in a busy surgical department specializing in a wide range of procedures including General, Neuro, Spine, Orthopedics, Robotics, Urology, Vascular, and Colorectal surgeries. This contract role offers the chance to work in a technologically advanced setting equipped with Epic, Pyxis, and two Da Vinci XI robotic surgical systems. The ideal candidate is committed to high-quality patient care for adult to geriatric populations.
Location:
Based in Hephzibah, GA, this facility serves a diverse population and provides access to modern surgical technology and a dynamic work environment. The community combines a peaceful suburban lifestyle with convenient access to urban amenities.
Schedule:
- Day shift, 3x 12-hour shifts per week (06:30 - 19:00)
- Every other weekend required
- Call responsibilities include 7-8 calls over an 8-week schedule, with 1 weekend call and occasional additional weekend shifts
- Holiday work expectations apply based on assignment period
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of OR nursing experience required; first-time OR nurses will be considered if clinical screening is passed
- Current BLS certification mandatory
- Demonstrated experience circulating and scrubbing in an operating room setting
- Comfortable working with a high patient census (16 rooms with an average of 35 daily cases)
- Ability to comply fully with orientation and facility scheduling requirements
Responsibilities:
- Providing direct patient care in the Main OR, supporting complex surgical procedures using the latest robotic and surgical technologies
- Coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal surgical outcomes
- Adhering to established safety and infection control protocols
- Maintaining proficiency with unit systems such as Epic and Pyxis
