Healthcare professionals with a passion for surgical care are needed for an exciting opportunity supporting operating room services. This contract role offers a blend of 8-hour and 12-hour shifts totaling 40 hours weekly, providing a predictable and manageable schedule. With no required on-call or weekend shifts, this position allows for a healthy work-life balance while working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Schedule:
- 40 hours per week
- 2 eight-hour shifts
- 2 twelve-hour shifts
- No on-call or weekend requirement
Qualifications:
- Active RN license
- Previous Operating Room nursing experience preferred
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Strong prioritization and critical thinking abilities
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Dedication to maintaining patient safety and infection control standards
Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures
- Assist surgical teams with instrument handling, patient positioning, and monitoring during operations
- Prepare and maintain a sterile environment in the operating room
- Accurately document procedures, assessments, and interventions
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other interdisciplinary team members
- Proactively identify and respond to changes in patient condition
- Uphold facility policies, patient rights, and confidentiality standards
