Schedule/Hours:

  • Primarily weekend coverage

Essential Experience and Education:

  • Minimum one year of current perioperative charge nurse or relief charge nurse experience
  • Bachelors degree in nursing or related field preferred
  • Two or more years of critical care experience desired

Licenses & Certifications:

  • Active licensure with the California Board of Registered Nursing (required)
  • Current CPR and ACLS certifications (required)
  • Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) preferred

Key Duties:

  • Oversee operating room procedures and ensure adherence to safety protocols
  • Effectively lead the perioperative team and delegate responsibilities
  • Provide compassionate, evidence-based care to surgical patients
  • Maintain accurate documentation and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
  • Float to med/surg and critical care units as needed, adapting to dynamic patient care environments
