Job Description

Provide expert nursing care within the Operating Room at a Level II Trauma Center, supporting both outpatient and inpatient surgical services. This contract position is based in Hamilton City, CA, offering an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic healthcare environment renowned for its comprehensive surgical care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality perioperative nursing care in the Emergency Outpatient Center (EOC) and float to the main OR as needed.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety and optimal surgical outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and utilize EPIC electronic health records effectively.
  • Adhere to all regulatory and facility policies, including strict infection control standards.
  • Participate in ongoing education and clinical development.

Required Qualifications:

  • Active California Board of Registered Nursing license.
  • Minimum of 2 years recent experience as an Operating Room RN.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; CPR certification.
  • Experience with EPIC electronic medical records system.
  • Proven success in previous travel nursing assignments.
  • Availability for day shifts with occasional weekend coverage.
  • ACLS and PALS certifications preferred but not mandatory.
