Schedule/Hours:
- 3 days per week, 12-hour shifts (3PM 3AM)
- Rotating weekend requirement (up to 2 per 4-week cycle)
- Floating to assist other units as needed for census or acuity
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program
- Current NM RN license or valid Compact State license
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS (or ENPC) certifications from AHA required
- TNCC or ATCN certification required; CPI or equivalent preferred
- Current skills relevant to operating room and age-specific care
- Commitment to patient rights and clear, concise communication
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete initial and ongoing patient assessments, successfully prioritizing care
- Develop, implement, and regularly update personalized care plans
- Independently perform Point of Care testing and timely care interventions
- Coordinate, delegate, and follow up on unit assignments to ensure continuity
- Support patient and family education, and take part in effective discharge planning
- Contribute collaboratively to a positive work environment for peers and patients
- Adapt to changing unit needs through flexible support and floating responsibilities
