A skilled Registered Nurse with operating room experience is sought for an eight-week contract in Glenview, IL. This role requires proficiency in ophthalmology and da Vinci robotic general surgery, with a minimum of two years of relevant nursing experience and familiarity with Epic systems. Candidates must hold an active Illinois nursing license and BLS certification.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid Illinois RN license and current BLS certification
• Minimum two years of operating room nursing experience
• Proficient in ophthalmology and da Vinci robotic general surgery techniques
• Experience using Epic healthcare software
• At least one prior travel nursing contract completed
• Ability to respond to on-call rotations within 30 minutes of the hospital during specified hours
• Completion of required pre-assignment health screenings (CBC, DS, QuantiFERON Gold within 90 days)

Responsibilities:

• Provide competent perioperative nursing care within the operating room environment
• Collaborate effectively with surgery teams to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes
• Participate in on-call rotation, including weekends, with responsiveness required
• Adhere to hospital protocols, standards, and patient care guidelines
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with interdisciplinary staff

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM (40 hours per week)
• On-call duties with approximately 8-10 shifts per month, including weekends, requiring proximity within 30 minutes of the hospital
