A registered nurse with specialized skills in operating room care is needed for a contract position focused on liver, heart, lung, and kidney transplant cases. This role requires hands-on experience with organ transplantation procedures, including re-implanting organs, not just harvesting. Proficiency in the use of Misonix/CUSA equipment is essential. The position offers a day shift schedule with specified on-call responsibilities.

Based in Fort Lauderdale, FL, this role is situated at a modern, short-term acute care hospital known for its teaching programs and commitment to excellence. The facility provides free parking and utilizes EPIC for charting, supporting a streamlined clinical environment.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of direct liver/transplant operating room nursing experience
- Strong expertise in liver, heart, lung, and kidney transplant procedures as verified on skills checklist
- Proficient in Misonix/CUSA equipment
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications required at time of application; NIHSS certification must be obtained before starting
- Nicotine-free status required with negative drug and nicotine screening
- Ability to float within scope to meet facility needs
- Pending licenses considered with appropriate documentation
Schedule & Responsibilities:
- Days, 6:45 AM 5:15 PM, four 10-hour shifts weekly
- On-call one shift per week and two 12-hour weekend shifts per month
- Perform complex transplant surgeries focusing on organ implantation
- Prioritize time-sensitive educational modules as required prior to assignment start
