Key Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Active Massachusetts RN license
• BLS required; ACLS required within 60 days of hire (or upon hire if already obtained)
• Previous O.R. nursing experience highly preferred
• CNOR certification strongly preferred
• Excellent communication, multitasking ability, and adaptability in dynamic settings

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive patient care in the operating room aligned with protocols and best practices
• Maintain sterile technique and direct the care/handling of surgical instruments and supplies
• Oversee patient identification, operative site verification, and adherence to aseptic procedures
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical support teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Provide thorough patient and family education, discharge planning, and effective handoffs to ensure continuity of care
• Engage in ongoing professional development and mentor peers as needed
