Job Description

This role is ideal for experienced OR nurses eager to expand their clinical repertoire and learn from diverse surgical teams, leadership methods, and cutting-edge procedures. Working in a fast-paced, Level 1 Trauma Center with over 500 beds will add valuable credentials to your resume and expose you to a wide scope of advanced surgical cases, including robotics, trauma, general surgery, and specialized services.

Schedule/Hours:

  • 16-week assignment starting May 11
  • 40 hours per week
  • Rotating shifts

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred
  • Active, unencumbered Hawaii RN license required at submission
  • AHA BLS and ACLS certifications (current and valid throughout assignment)
  • CPI or equivalent crisis intervention certification preferred
  • CNOR or other specialty certifications highly desirable
  • Two or more years of full-time staff RN experience in a comparable large, trauma center (500+ beds) prior to any travel assignments
  • Circulating experience required; scrub experience preferred
  • Case experience in General Surgery, Trauma, DaVinci Robotics, Ortho, and Urology (cystos, ureteroscopies, PCNLs, ESWL) required
  • Experience in GYN, ENT, Neuro, and Cardiac cases highly preferred
  • Compliance documentation must be completed no later than 10 days before the start date
  • No requested time off permitted during the initial contract period

Responsibilities:

  • Provide perioperative nursing care as circulator (scrubbing skills a plus)
  • Participate in trauma, robotics, and other advanced surgical cases
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in a complex, high-acuity environment
