Step into a dynamic Operating Room environment known for advanced surgical procedures and a collaborative atmosphere. This contract role requires skilled registered nurses to support comprehensive patient care in a bustling 16-suite main OR, leveraging the latest medical technology and equipment.
Schedule:
- 12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM 7:00 PM)
- Includes night and weekend call
Desired Qualifications:
- Active RN license
- Proven transplant operating room experience is essential
- 3+ years of perioperative nursing strongly preferred
- Certification in perioperative nursing (preferred)
- Competency with complex surgical procedures, including:
- Total joints and spine surgery
- Kidney and liver transplants
- Robotic-assisted surgery
- Vascular, ENT, and plastic procedures
- Familiarity with Meditech electronic medical records
Role Responsibilities:
- Circulate and assist in a 16-suite OR for a variety of high-acuity cases
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical techs to provide seamless patient care
- Prepare the operating room and maintain strict adherence to infection control protocols
- Document procedures and ongoing assessments accurately in EMR
- Respond quickly to intraoperative emergencies and support the surgical team before, during, and after procedures
