Job Description

Step into an advanced operating room environment and make a meaningful impact alongside a skilled surgical team. This contract opportunity calls for an experienced Operating Room RN with a strong transplant background to support a busy perioperative department.

Schedule/Hours:

  • 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM7:00 PM
  • Night and weekend call required

Desired Qualifications:

  • Active RN license
  • Demonstrated expertise in transplant surgery
  • 3+ years of recent operating room experience highly preferred
  • Certification in perioperative nursing preferred
  • Familiarity with EMR systems, especially Meditech
  • Ability to work collaboratively in fast-paced, multi-specialty OR

Key Responsibilities:

  • Circulate and/or scrub on a full range of procedures, including total joints, spine, kidney/liver transplants, robotics, vascular, ENT, and plastics
  • Monitor patients status and condition throughout procedures
  • Communicate and coordinate seamlessly with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and support staff
  • Maintain strict adherence to aseptic technique, OR protocols, and safety standards
  • Utilize and adapt to state-of-the-art OR technology and new surgical equipment
  • Provide compassionate care and advocate for patients throughout the perioperative experience
  • Uphold unit guidelines and contribute to a collaborative team environment
