As a nurse in the Operating Room, youll expand your clinical repertoire while being part of a fast-paced, multi-specialty surgical department. Exposure to a variety of complex procedures and innovative technologies will help you advance your skills and adapt to diverse workplace dynamics and leadership approaches. Each patient and case brings unique learning opportunities, adding significant value to your resume.
Schedule/Hours:
- Weekly orientation every Monday
Qualifications:
- Active RN license with experience in the operating room
- Successful completion of complete and clear background screenings before start
- Must reside at least 60 miles from Ebensburg to qualify as a traveler
- PA State Police Clearance, Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance, and Department of Human Services & FBI fingerprinting required prior to start (see respective online processes for details)
- Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver professional perioperative nursing care, assisting with surgical procedures in a fast-paced environment
- Follow facility protocols for patient safety, instrument sterilization, and emergency response
- Collaborate with surgery teams for optimal patient outcomes
- Thoroughly document all care activities and assessments
- Provide patient advocacy throughout the perioperative experience
