Job Description

Key Qualifications:

  • Active and unrestricted RN license
  • 1 year or more of current Operating Room (OR) nursing experience
  • Strong assessment, critical thinking, and organizational skills
  • Ability to circulate and/or scrub preferred
  • Current BLS certification required (additional certifications such as ACLS or PALS are a plus)
  • Excellent communication and teamwork capabilities
  • Familiarity with electronic health records and operating room protocols

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative nursing care to surgical patients
  • Monitor patient status and safety throughout procedures
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and surgical technologists
  • Prepare and maintain sterile field, instruments, and supplies
  • Accurately document all aspects of patient care and procedures
  • Educate patients and families on procedures and post-operative care
  • Respond effectively to emergencies and changing patient needs
