Key Qualifications:
- Active and unrestricted RN license
- 1 year or more of current Operating Room (OR) nursing experience
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and organizational skills
- Ability to circulate and/or scrub preferred
- Current BLS certification required (additional certifications such as ACLS or PALS are a plus)
- Excellent communication and teamwork capabilities
- Familiarity with electronic health records and operating room protocols
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative nursing care to surgical patients
- Monitor patient status and safety throughout procedures
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and surgical technologists
- Prepare and maintain sterile field, instruments, and supplies
- Accurately document all aspects of patient care and procedures
- Educate patients and families on procedures and post-operative care
- Respond effectively to emergencies and changing patient needs
