Job Description

A registered nurse with expertise in operating room procedures is needed for a contract position in Dallas, TX. This role focuses on providing exceptional surgical nursing care with specialization in orthopedic, neurological, robotic, and general surgeries. Candidates should be adaptable, highly skilled, and capable of working effectively in a fast-paced OR environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare operating rooms and patients for surgery, ensuring sterile environments and all necessary equipment are available
  • Provide intraoperative nursing care for orthopedic, neurological, robotic, and general surgical procedures
  • Monitor patient vital signs and respond to changing conditions during surgery
  • Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation of surgical procedures and patient care

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Current and valid RN license with experience in operating room nursing
  • Proficiency in orthopedic, neurological, robotic-assisted, and general surgical procedures
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills in high-pressure situations

Schedule:

  • Three 12-hour day shifts per week (06:30 19:00) on Monday, Thursday, and Friday
  • Call responsibilities every six weeks, including one weekday evening shift (18:30 07:00), one Friday evening shift (18:30 07:00), and one weekend shift on Saturday or Sunday (either 06:30 07:00 or 18:30 07:00)
