Job Description

A reputable medical center in Concord, NC is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse with Operating Room (OR) experience for a contract position. This well-established facility is a Level 1 Trauma Center and Magnet designated hospital, known for its teaching focus and advanced care in pediatric and adult services. The operating rooms serve a wide range of patient needs, providing excellent clinical learning and practice opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Current RN license with at least 1 year of OR nursing experience; strong candidates who are first-time travelers will be considered.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Preferred experience with EPIC electronic medical records.
  • Comfortable working across multiple surgical service lines excluding Neuro and Cardiovascular Thoracic.
  • Familiarity with Da Vinci XI surgical robot technology is a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide perioperative nursing care for patients of all ages, supporting surgical teams in an 11-room operating suite.
  • Collaborate with clinical supervisors and charge nurses to maintain smooth OR operations.
  • Participate in a 2-day departmental orientation and a facility-based New Employee Orientation.
  • Adhere to department culture and professional scrub attire policies.

Schedule & Work Environment:

  • Shift options: 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM or 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM.
  • No weekend, call, or holiday shifts required.
  • Schedule rotates every 6 weeks with manager-approved Requested Time Off.
  • Free parking provided.
