Schedule/Hours:

  • Travel position with flexible assignment duration.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
  • Current MA RN license.
  • ACLS at the time of hire or active BLS and willingness to obtain AHA ACLS within 60 days.
  • Prior Operating Room nursing experience and CNOR certification strongly preferred.
  • Skilled at managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication, multitasking skills, and a positive, proactive attitude.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver safe, dignified, and patient-centered care in the Operating Room, adhering to the highest perioperative standards.
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical team members for optimal patient outcomes.
  • Maintain sterile fields, supervise instrument sterilization, and manage sponge, needle, and instrument counts with accuracy.
  • Administer medications and IV therapy, carefully assessing patient pain and response.
  • Provide thorough documentation, effective handoffs, and clear communication to ensure continuity of care.
  • Advocate for privacy, safety, and compliance with accreditation and licensure standards.
  • Educate and prepare patients and families for procedures, discharge, and follow-up needs.
  • Engage in ongoing learning and professional development, mentoring colleagues as needed.
