A registered nurse with operating room expertise is sought for a 12-week contract opportunity in a reputable hospital setting near Chicago. This position offers a full-time schedule focused on delivering high-quality perioperative care in a dynamic surgical environment.
Location:
Located in a vibrant suburb approximately 28 miles from downtown Chicago, this community offers a blend of suburban comfort with access to urban amenities, making it a convenient and desirable place to work and live.
Responsibilities:
- Provide skilled circulating nursing care in the operating room with emphasis on cataract, retina, and DaVinci robotic surgeries
- Collaborate effectively with surgical teams to ensure patient safety and efficient workflow
- Participate in on-call rotation for weekend coverage as required
- Adhere to all hospital protocols, maintaining compliance with licensing and certification requirements
Qualifications:
- Current RN license in Illinois
- Minimum of 2 years operating room nursing experience, including at least one travel contract
- Proficient in circulating for cataracts, retinal procedures, and DaVinci robotic cases
- BLS certification required
- Ability to submit required credentials (CBC, Drug Screen, QuantiFERON Gold) within 90 days prior to start date
Schedule and Duration:
- Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM (40 hours per week)
- Weekend on-call rotation
- Assignment duration: 12 weeks, starting within two weeks of offer
Compensation:
- Competitive bill rates applied before agency fees
